We had cars on the track today actually. They were turning some fast laps. The track was heavy and smooth. They were only on it for about a half hour to 45 minutes. The grounds have dried up rather nicely. The track crew has been out there moving mud, and placing sawdust and mulch down for this weekends Icebreaker.

Hey DJ,
I will meet you at a MSCS event this year so you can see for yourself that I really am a nice old guy. Now here is the truth about my problems with Chris: A couple years ago a stock car track held a "one off" sprint car event. I drove 90 miles to the track, found out that at least 3 of their regular stock car classes were (unadvertised on the 'net) there as support classes, and pit passes were $30. I went back to Bloomington without attending, choosing to cut my losses. In a thread after the event, I added a response expressing my disappointment in the number of support classes, and I related a fact which I can still verify for you with the people involved: 2 drivers I know well, who both finished in the top 5 in the feature, and their car owners received a combined total of less than $500. The track was so bad that most sprint cars burned off, down to the cords, at least 3 tires that day. The person who was that track's announcer took umbrage with my truthful post, and "the battle was on". When I PMed this person about another topic, after exchanging posts here on IOW, I made the faux pas of using profanity in my PM. Next thing I know, I was tattled upon -- my PRIVATE Message was posted on IOW to gain sympathy for the tattler. It worked, and I was banned for a short time. Surprisingly, I didn't miss IOW enough to notice that I was allowed back until I received an e-mail from a moderator to welcome me back. I fully expect to be banned again because I choose to respond to whining and untruths regarding me personally from other IOWers. |

Wow you overeacted again...
In the post mentioned before, all I said was that all classes that were supposed to run that night was posted on the website. I didnt know if you checked it or not, but to hold a grudge against me is just ludicrous Have a nice day Mr. Turner. Im sure youre a nice old man, but youre not doing a good job of proving that theory. |

Dan you overreacted as well, this man has had a grudge against me for a long time, and the "old man" remark was a quote from his own post.
So what am I to do, sit around and listen to him thrash away at me? Apparently I cant post anything on either board, without getting jumped on and what not. Sorry for trying |

Chris,
On a positive note. Thanks for posting the information about the upcoming MSCS opening event at Brownstown as well as offering a couple of free tickets to race fans on IOW. The photo you posted of the track looks great. Much better than the Browntown underwater photo we saw a week or two ago. I don't know about the rest of you, but I am sick of cold, wet weather. A good dose of dirt on a track burger will cure all that ails you. See you all at the races. :greenflag: Joe |
