Everyone complaining about the track ever think they did it on purpose to throw something different at the swindells?

If the Chillli Bowl changes anything they are nuts... this year was my first.... and the attitude of those at the race seems to be that they are at the biggest event of the year... 286 cars... sold out... I would just keep raising the prices on everything and counting my money!!!!
No, Kevin and Sammy have been in the same exact car the last five years. They only run the chili bowl and it sits the rest of the year.

I hate the open rules. I think they need weight limits and dimension rules. As well as a cubic inch rule. I really believe the open rules have allowed to build a car designed specifically for that track that no one has figured out how to beat. And I'm afraid that when someone does beat it they will just become the dominant team and the chili bowl car count will dwindle.

I have been sick of watching the Swindells take it every year. But if they could win it from the middle or back of the field, I would be the first one to stand up and give them a cheer!

Pretty interesting reading. I have one that might be some what of a solution.
After the main event has been astablished, then there should be a REDRAW by all main event starters for the the first five rows.
This would surely put the competition at an equal playing field.
The first one to draw would be the first main event driver, the second draw would be the second transfer, etc.
By doing this it would insure some different winners in the future or it would at least show great skill.

It wont matter where they start. For five straight years they have been unbeatable which I think is great it makes people work harder and actually use there brains to come up with different setups/cars/drivers. If you want more rules and everything to be the same go watch nascar or indy car. Innovation is what this sport is build on and when you start taking that away anyone can win. No one should be able to buy the best stuff off the shelf and go fast it should take knowledge and experience from both the crew chief and driver. Setting rules where just the swindells cars are not legal is the chicken sh1t way out. People that whine and cry about people being to fast just want the fast guys slowed down to make themselves feel better. Its what we call racing the fastest wins end of story. So now everyone has a year to do research and work on there cars for next year. Man up pack a lunch and do work. Here to kevins drive for 5.

You'll never again see someone like Kevin Doty, John Heydenreich, or Steve Buckwalter battle for the win at the end of a Chili Bowl. That is sad. Seeing a family owned midget driver take on a national hot shoe raises the hair on the back of my neck, and that hasn't happened to me for several years. That's what's exciting to me, not domination by big money teams. Then, groom the track to keep the front teams at the front and you have the worst race in Chili Bowl history. Just my view from the top row.
