If you have never attended races at Paragon Speedway you are missing a diamond in the rough. Paragon is where I first became at dirt track fan ( late 60's early 70's ) for a weekly program. I try to attend at least one or two races a year. Sheldon Kinser was the king of Paragon. Lots of great memories. If at all possible give them a chance, you won't be disappointed.
If you live in Indiana, you know Paragon. I don't think there is a Hoosier drive who hasn't run there. To me it always seems like I'm going home, after I've been gone a while.
It's still nice to go somewhere , where racing is like it used to be.
A side note to this Paragon post, on January 27th, 2013, both Johnny and Mike Johnson will be inducted into the Hoosier Auto Racing Fans Hall of Fame. Along with the Johnsons, Indiana favorite Greg Staab will also be inducted into our Hall of Fame. Our Hall of Fame inductees are voted on by the entire membership of HARF, and this year, these 3 gentlemen were overwhelmingly choosen by our members. We look forward to being able to honor our new Hall of Fame members at our Champions Banquet on Jan. 27th, 2013 at the American Legion Post #331, 636 E. Main St. Brownsburg, In, tickets & sponsorship packages are still available by calling Vicki Black @ 317-487-8096.
& not trying to hijack the post, i have been a big fan of Paragon Speedway since the 80's, the track where "everyone" runs a feature, bob.
