I'd agree, sounds like a typical firing of someone who either isn't in the "clich", or hasn't been able to find help, that can relieve at least some of the pressure that is dumped on his mellon. The "establishment" probably brought him down as much as anything, everyone has answers, but offer no help, sounds all too familiar in this day and age, money, and the lack or abundance of it, seems to prevail, the old "squeeky wheel" gets "greased" comes around again. Personally, I didn't have that much problem with TG, off track, at some races we attended, he was just a "racin" guy, he was always good for a gouge, and a laugh, so it was, and, I didn't like Miller for a long time, then I actually began to feel sorry for him, he put a lot of effort into making himself very unpopular, but maybe he was right, only those in the inner circle will ever know. Myself, having grown up with Indy, in it's heyday, have reservations about running those cars on smaller than 2 mile tracks, which doesn't leave much, they seem to perform more happily on the track that put them on the map, "indy", and since we can't go back 30-40 yrs in design, I now prefer to watch them on the road courses, and at Indy, other than that, they are just too wicked fast for 1.5 mile ovals. I guess I'm kinda of like "Chumlee" when I ask "what is a "PADDOCK"?

One should Never buy a car from an "AGENCY" instead of a "DEALER" and don't put a lot of support in a race series that has "PADDOCKS" instead of "PITS"!!

These guys could go to a rent a go-kart track and race and save a lot of money and their drivers would feel much more at home.

I've seen very little proof that anyone in Indy Car racing is interested in American short trackers, including Randy Bernard. When Tony first started the series, some of these guys were getting a shot but, as soon as Tony sold his soul to Penske/Ganassi/Honda/Toyota, the road courses were added and that, my friends, was the end of it......they're all idiots!!!!!

by 1995, the car count for Indy sucked. It was below 50 and if I recall correctly less than 40 car/driver combinations made attempts to qualify....the crowd was still there but the writing was on the wall. The road racing set, with it's foreign drivers, had pretty much taken over and our young american talent (i.e. Jeff Gordon types) couldn't get a sniff in gasoline alley.......thus, the IRL was born and I supported it until Tony sold his vision out to Honda & Toyota.....that brought back engine leases (with "favored" teams), road races and street races. The result? The instant death of many of the smaller teams such as, Knapp, Curb-Agajanian, Mo Nunn, Kelly, Dreyer Reinbold, Cheever, Hemelgarn, Treadway, Cahill, Bradley Motorsports, Galles, Beck and many others I can't think of. These teams disappeared very quickly and so did any hope that young american talent would be given a chance in Indy cars........

Dreyer and Reinbold is still very much alive and competing in the Indycar series.

Kelly became Vision which is now Ed Carpenter Racing

my bad....I was going off memory. I guess I should've researched it........anyway, just take a couple of the teams that I missed and put them where I had Kelly and Dreyer and then, maybe, you'll understand my point....wow

this was the first year in forever that i went to an indycar race outside of the 500, first time in a long time I was interested enough. Ended up going to Milwaukee and Iowa, somehow I don't think that will happen again, I have had enough.
