Hello again race fans,

Highlights of Saturday night's USAC/CRA Sprint Car Series event are available on the Video Clips page at www.millsvideoproductions.com

You can access it directly at this address:

In this clip, you can see Dave Darland's harrowing flip down the front chute in heat 2. In the sequence, the car does 9 full revolutions, and covers nearly the full length of the straightaway.

All of our highlights from the "CoD" are brought to you this week by www.darrenhagenracing.com. Thanks to Darren and his family for their support of our site.

Also, highlights of the Silver Crown Series will be up by tomorrow. Watch for them...

Mills Video Productions is celebrating it's 25th Anniversary Season in 2008, having covered sprint car and midget racing coast to coast since 1984. We have a lot of great things planned for 2008, so stay tuned...

Nice work Dean. I thought the track was pretty good for all the weather problems.

TFunk,

You are absolutely correct. I have seen a few marathon days of racing in my life, but this one beat all of them. For over 12 hours that the cars were on the racetrack surface, Manzanita Speedway was wide, racey, and maintained two grooves. And half of that was in the daytime, with the sun blazing down! And the only thing they did to it was douse it with water between the Friday portion of the event, and the Saturday portion. That is practically unheard of in our sport.

It was a fantastic day of racing, with three great features, and I will remember it for the rest of my life. I've seen so many races in my lifetime that it's rare when you see one that you know will stand out. But this one definitely will...

Kudos to Steve Dunn and his crew for all the improvements they've made at Manzanita, the excellent track surface they had for us this weekend, and to USAC for putting on a fine racing program on Saturday. Well, done...
