The first feature of the night (Sprint feature #1) began at 2:30am. The final sprint feature checkered at 3:25am. There was still a 100-lap modified feature, a super stock feature, and a bomber feature to be run. I left after the third sprint feature ran. I'm curious to find out what time the night's events end.
I'm still awake and coherent somehow after 10 hours at the track, but I'm thinking there needs to be a format change for this event in the coming years. Either start earlier or only run a couple classes of cars. I think I heard there were 184 cars in the pits. Not bad on that end, but the show has to be finished in a reasonable hour. I saw lots of families leave long before any of the B-mains had even begun. |
