They must have spent all their money at the Chili Bowl then, and have no money left to get to Belleville !! (Or Beloit Ks the week before which is a much smaller track, located just west of the middle of nowhere)

They won't need to worry about getting there next year, that midget race is probably history.

I announced before I started driver intros before the Saturday Feature, that the Fair Board said there will be a Belleville Midget Nationals in 2013! There will be also many changes forthcoming in the near future regarding the event. Let use these message boards to create positive things towards improving midget racing and all motorsports.

I f i remember correctly the reason they originally brought in USAC was to try to fix low car counts. They weren't as low as they have been lately, but this is not a new problem. I don't know the solution, but costs are definetly the problem. All the finger pointing in the world won't stop it.

Brian,

I started a thread on IOW about a year ago that produced pages and pages and pages of positive suggestions to bring back midget racing as we once knew it. So what was the result. Nothing. Not one thing has changed except that the promoter at Montpelier stepped up to the plate and started the first Indiana midget series in over a decade.

Against my better judgement, I will ask why don't you like this event. You dislike USAC. This is a non-USAC race. You dislike POWRi. This is a non-POWRi race. You want races that pay well to win. This one does that, and you want one that pays well to start. This one does that as well. What could you possible dislike about this event?
