From JIM MORRISON

Congratulations to Tom Hessert III for his sixth place finish in the ARCA run at Daytona and leading a portion of the race. Not bad for his first start on that big track. That's another sprint and midget veteran to run well there.
I remember when he showed up at Kokomo back in 2002 the same night Stewart ran midgets. He was a teammate to Tony that night and garnered little attention.
Let's hope he, and some of the others in the minor league stock car ranks (Clauson, Wease and more) get the chance to actually move up to NASCAR Cup rather than being thrown under the bus when the next Hornish, Franchitti or Montoya comes along.

That was fun cheering and watching Tom. Cheers to Tom and his father.

Have to add that I have always found both Tom and his dad Tom Sr. to be very open and friendly when seen at various venues.

Way to go Tom.

Jake and Clint both remarked during the race that they knew a "guy that raced midgets" with the same name!
I figured it was a different guy myself, so hats off to the Hesserts on your fine run at DIS!:respect::Steer
