Marv update: He has been down-graded, same floor different room. Physical therapy will begin in the morning, he may have 5 more days left or more if he doesn't eat, needs a defibulator, he may refuse it, I will get Wes and Sue to work on him about that. He has bouts of delirium, he asked me if I saw all the bugs in his room and Bob Z. visited him yesterday, I think not! AND most of all, he wants visitors!!!! Lots of them. So anyone that has the time and would like to talk to a delirious person, (not all the time) go see Marv. He looks wonderful and is progressing every hour. Good night and God Bless! Oh I made it to and from UC without any side tracks.lol. Jude

I've never met Marv but I can tell he is in a lot of peoples thoughts and prayers. I hope for the best for him and all of you in his circle of friends. Maybe some racecar pics or watching some race video's in his room would give him some motivation and something to help him.Get well Marv.
I've never met Marv Fish. But I can tell as well he is very well liked and cared for!! Just thought of a idea to maybe help out his family with gas cost, food etc.. I don't have the access to make stickers, but sure someone on here does. How about "Get Well Soon Marv" stickers for racers, fans to put on there cars? I don't know but 5 bucks a piece sounds fair to me? I would like to try and help this man and his family out if i can. Please send me a email @ marc@dadsonsinc.com or call me (260)227-0263. Any input or ideas would be great. Wish him a speedy recovery and hope he gets back to the track soon!!
I(Dave) went and seen Marv this morning. He is in good spirits and wants to get back home and to the races. He said thanks to all of his racing family for the prayers. we talked for a hour or so. Looks like he may move to a rehab home in indiana soon. Thanks
Marv update: He is wide eyed and a little delirious yet, but not as bad as yesterday. every hour there is improvement. They will be transferring him to the Waters in Rising Sun early next week for his physical therapy, that is a relief for me, easier and shorter drive. I have white knuckles when I drive up to the "big city". Dave Smith stopped in and Marv was pleased, later on tonight, more people will go and visit with him, he did not remember that Vella and Wayne were there yesterday. He did tell me that Dave Rudsell was there. The test on his heart was excellent news, pumping strong and no damage. His stick wounds are healing nicely and the swelling has gone down tremendously on his arms and legs, he looks more like himself than a little toad. The scrape on his forehead is barely noticeable. That's it for now, I feel a nap coming on so until the next visit, God bless you all. Jude
Marv is one of the first guys to come by 2H pit and introduce himself(way back during the old usacfans.com days). I've always thought highly of Marv. I never made a trip to the Burg without sharing a few laughs and talking to Marv. He's just a special guy and if you're friends with him you already know that.
Thanks for posting the updates, reading the positive updates makes my day better.
visited marv for about an hour and a half yesterday. looks great and spirits are good. talked a lot of racing of course. told him chad boesphlug won the other night. he was very happy to hear that as chad and mr. gatten are two of his fav's. said he was going to try and make it tonight but we had to talk him out of it...lol he loves the migets. also told him about this thread and all the people who where concerned about him. he was shocked to say the least. told him when you care about people like you do it always comes back to you...
Marv update: Still confused at times but getting better all the time. Had the neighbor with me so she saw the delirium, he asked about her dog that past away 6 yrs. ago and other things like did I talk to his grandparents, they have been gone over 20 yrs.. The will put the defibulator in on Monday and Tues. or Wed. he will be transferred to The Waters in Rising Sun. From there, if he gets stronger , he will come home for a few months before open heart surgery will be done. He has four blockages that need care. That's all for now, off to granddaughters Grad. party.
