I just got an text from the Lincoln Park rainout line. I signed up to find out when the races rain out NOT to get spammed with ads to come to the races. If you plan to use it for that then please let me know how to opt out.

Pretty easy fix UNSUBSCRIBE.. The Track is doing all of us a favor by having a line like this. A few texts to tell me about upcoming races doesnt bother me at all. The track could NOT have a line and let you waste your time and money driving to the track only for it to be rained out. They are only trying to notify fans/ teams of upcoming races they may or may not know about. These are hard times and they are simply using another form to reach out and spread the word. If a text message from the track is the worst part of your day I think you have it pretty dang good.

Is there a better place to be for racing than Central Indiana on Memorial Day Weekend?

Where did I say that was the worst part of my day? I am just saying that I was misled thinking that they would only use it for rainouts.

John, I'm signed up to receive text messages from several tracks, and almost every track sends out the whole promotional text message.

When I first started receiving them I didn't read the message completely... I only saw the track name and the rained out part and just assumed the race was cancelled. So now I always get a laugh out of it when I see a text message from RainedOut.com on race day that says... Yes, We are racing tonight.

BTW... I'll start sending you IOW promotions via text...

If you want to STOP receiving the messages all you need to do is Text "STOP" to 84483 and that should do it.
