Passing #1, Wheelies #2, the Race Tracks #3, History #4 (a sprint car is non-wing, add the napkin holder up top and it becomes a Wing sprint car), and #5 PASSING!

1) It takes a bigger set of 'em to drive 100 mph straight at a wall and turn the race car, without having something added to that car to hold it down to the ground.

2)Not having a wing also helps find out just who exactly is the best at steering a race car on that track, on that night. Wing racing is a lot like pavement racing and I prefer dirt, by far. In other words, like the other guy said, more passing.

3)As a general rule, the fan base is a little more educated, down to earth and friendly.

4)I love the sound of the driver lifting as he reaches the turn and gassing it up before exiting. Especially qualifying at the Action Track. The sound of sprinters going from a full throated roar, to quiet, back to loud again is a sound that I've been hearing for so long that every time I hear it again it sends me spinning back through time. The winged car is just on the gas for too long. It's not the same.

5)That I just happen to live right smack dab in the middle of non-wing sprint Universe.

Jerry

1. Passing and side by side racing!
2. Passing and side by side racing!
3. Passing and side by side racing!
4 Passing and side by side racing!
5. Passing and side by side racing!
6 The faster you go, The more out of control and less stable the car is. VS WINGED's Faster the more downforce and more stable.
7. While some tracks are dusty. I've never gotten the waves of dirt that I ate at some Wing Shows.
8. Still pull the left front and wheelie once in awhile.
9. Their faster down the straights and sideways in the corners!
10. SIDE BY SIDE RACING AND MORE PASSING!

1. The cars are more sideways in the turns.
2. Sprint cars are beautiful, don't hide them with wings.
3. A great driver can take a not-so-great car and hustle it, elbows up!
4. It usually lends itself to two groove racing, always a plus.
5. A connection to my past. Going to races with Dad, creating lifelong memories.

I will preface this post by saying that I enjoy all types of racing including both traditional sprints and winged sprints. Here are my five reason that I prefer traditional sprints on dirt.

1)I enjoy seeing the driver in the equation. Traditional sprint cars require more driving than winged. Nothing more enjoyable than seeing a sprint driver drive it hard down the straight away and then throw it into the corner, cutting rooster tails. Sitting in the grandstands watching the driver work his magic. Priceless!

2)Traditional sprint races involve more of an invert than most winged sprint car races (Knoxville Nationals excluded). I want to see the big dogs work for the opportunity to advance to the feature and then do it all over again. More follow the leader in winged racing.

3)Living in Indiana we only have three winged dirt sprint car races this year I believe. WOO at Lawrenceburg, Kokomo and Tri State. We have more than that on an average Saturday night in state for traditional sprinters.

4)Ticket prices are still very economical for the traditional sprint car races. Some of the winged shows are higher priced and for many fans not an option to attend.

5)It is almost any spring, summer or fall Friday/Saturday night in Indiana and I have a decision to make. Which track do I want to attend to see traditional sprint cars race. So many times, not a very easy choice. Most of the time though, always an enjoyable experience.

Here is hoping that everyone can experience the fun and excitement of open wheel racing. May 2012 be the best season ever and you get the most of your entertainment dollar. Hope to see you at the races.

The only reason you need is side by side racing and passing but if you must have five then here you go

1. side by side racing and passing
2. you actually have to drive the car, instead of just stand on the gas and go
3.I live in the middle of sprint car country and can see a non-wing race 3 times a week, some times more
4. You get to see the drivers compete every week and can see them drive the car
5. Alot cheaper to watch, every wing show is a special event show, with outragous pricing. (IE: Outlaws = $30 tickets) I can get me and the wife into the track for that

Dirt:
1. More passing
2. More Cars- Have to race to make feature
3. Can see what the driver is doing
4. Money vs speed- Seems like in the wing cars there is a huge differance in speed from 1st to last or even 1st to 10th.
5. Don't need a 5th

Asphault: I'll take the wings over nonwings anyday (except the little 500)
1. MORE PASSING
2. MORE CARS
3. SPEED
4. Side By side racing, no follow the leader stuff!
5. The unknown
