From what I gathered off of facebook that plymouth speedway has nonwing sprintcars 4 nights this year on their new dirt track inside the pavement track. Looks like it is your typical nonwing 410 rules. What is everyones thoughts on this?
This track has seen the ups and downs for a racetrack for years with several promoters and owners.. With South Bend,New Paris,M40,Fort Wayne and Illiana speedway all within a 60 mile drive it is hard to find a night to run a pavement track.
I think they are trying to give it a shot at a dirt track without stopping the paved track. There is probably no track around that has been cleaned up and has tried to do anything to get people in the seats. There has been many improvements made to the pits, track, scoreboard, grandstands all to make it a great place to go watch a race...
I hope the dirt track goes good and it is going to be a ton of work after a dirt race to get the track cleaned before a paved race.. They will have to keep the banking kinda low or it will block the view of the paved track..
It is going to take alot of work but i bet Irish and the crew will get it working good..With more tracks going out of buisness then ones stepping up to the plate ,i hope they get a lot of cars and butts in the seats!!

I think it should be some good close quarters racing. I had seen where Irish said a couple of the dates were on USAC off nights and he expected some support from those teams. It is 'open competition-usac rules' so you may want to check that out.
It will be nice to have dirt racing back in the area.
I hope you get to come down and race this summer. I think you remember how to get to Plymouth?
