That's what I fear will be the final answer in the end. It's a shame because it's obvious that it didn't have to be this way.

(I know it is not you SprintFan)

This is a bad attitude to have if no-one watches the tape delay races then why would anyone ever try to show a race live. We all must support all Sprint, Midget and SC races WHENEVER they are on TV

Don't give up, guys. What do the new cars have going for them that the old cars don't? These guys just want a successful series that people want to run.....if that doesn't involve the new cars, then why wouldn't they switch back?

I am going to remain optimistic that I will see the real Silver Crown cars on the track again, and hopefully soon....

I hope you are right. However, very few times have I ever seen anything go away and then return later on. I think my last hope was to see PRA be successful and prosper. I know Jason & Jason tried but just couldn't succeed. My hope now is that they add a few more dirt tracks to the Silver Crown series. That probably won't happen either, but there is always hope.:emote20:

Well it is hard to support a series when you don`t get paid for 2 or 3 months after the race. Inside scoop is that USAC is supposed to have 4 or 5 races for the old cars at the end of this year and they are working on bringing them back full time in 09:idea:

I guess people assumed when Jason and Jason came on with USAC, they expected a 20 race schedule for the old cars to magically appear and for everything to be fixed in one day.

I'll say this: Jason and Jason didn't quit PRA just to leave the old cars to sit in garages.

I heard from a very reliable source that the old cars will be running in 09'. Now whether it is under the silver crown banner or the shift the new cars has yet to be determined.

From Jim Morrison
Did anybody notice that the Newton, Iowa, Silver Crown date is the same as the Kokomo Midget Week date -- Aug. 10?

Jim I noticed that while inputting the races into outlook. Given the drivers who have "new" SC rides I dont think it will impact more than 3 or 4 drivers, if that.

Couldn't we have a Gold Crown Division, with the new cars/bigger tar tracks...
..and a Silver Crown Division, with original cars on half-miles and miles, dirt and tar?
Sorry for dreaming again:emote20:
