Too bad the La Salle, IL date is dropped. La Salle is 'bout 40 minutes from us. And the Tattersall Memorial deal was a nice touch as well since Tat's home town of Streator, IL is just a hop and a skip from La Salle and Bob's widow, Dee was able to be there.

Heard the racing was pretty good, too. Wanted to be there but we were in Du Quoin.

Silver Crown Championship Dirt Cars properly driven on a one mile dirt track are classic poetry in motion. Using that analogy, Jack Hewitt is one of the greatest poets of all time.

Speedrome was primarily on the D1 schedule last year. Will they be back?

I agree, but if you didn't notice last year, there wasn't an amazing turnout. Maybe that was the deciding factor.

I just spoke with friends I stay with in Belleville and was told that the fair board was waiting for USAC to set their schedule before setting the dates for the fair in order to avoid the overlap that occurred this year. If that's true, then I'd expect the Midget Nationals to be run the last weekend in July. Unfortunately, USAC has a Silver Crown race at Eldora on Friday the 27th which will probably nix some of the midget guys who might compete at Belleville. But as we know, schedules are frequently revised, so we'll just have to wait and see. Let's hope for the best.

Hope they put something in between March and May. I'd like to see them run Anderson in early April like they have before. Other than the Little 500, I think midgets put on a better show there.

The race on July 27th is at LORP in Indy along with the USAC midgets.

The Pepsi Nationals at Angell Park Speedway is not on the 2012 USAC schedule. It was a co-sanction with Badger in 2011. The Nationals was a rain out.

I booted the heck out of that one, didn't I? Must be my monitor acting up. Sorry for the confusion. But with that being the case, who knows what will happen with Belleville? We'll just have to wait and see.

Maybe Belleville will be in conjunction with the POWRi midget money week this year like it has been in the past. It almost seems as though USAC booked up the beginning of August to conflict with the Belleville Midget Nationals. I have no clue why you would make your drivers choose whether or not to run such a prestigous events. This may not be an issue but it seems like it would be luck if it wasnt. Smart move on B'Villes part to wait to schedule.

I dont think the schedule looks terrible overall. I think the speedrome would have been cool to have on there again. Whatever happened to the knoxville midget nationals they used to have?
