Great news. Wonder if it will translate into financial benefit for the racers?

The fact that CBS Sports is even thinking about broadcasting the Chili Bowl is a real plus for the sport.

The sport needs more exposure to new fans. Exposure brings fans.... fans bring sponsors... sponsors support the racers.

The only real problem I see is how "racing" might use this opportunity. Do they only ask "what is in for me?" or will they actually see the potential benefit this could bring to the sport.

If you can't think big picture... you won't understand it.

CBS is Channel 8 in Indianapolis (Channel 10 in Terre Haute)... many people get it through there cable company as a local channel.

There is also a CBS Sports channel (Directv channel 613)

It will be on regular over the air I assume. In Canada we even had the Lucas Oil Late Model CBS race on tv. Awesome stuff, I like the more regional, smaller forms of sport getting coverage that I think we will be seeing more often in the future. Forrest Lucas gets it.

For those of you who don't realize that the 30 million people in Canada don't have Versus and therefore don't get to see Indy Lights, and many of the Indycar races.

Will it be successful? Depends if SMOKE runs it or not. Thats how you get new fans

Maybe when Versus changes to NBC Sports, you will get it in Canada then? You guys get NBC in Canada, right?

Like similar to when Danica runs a NASCAR Nationwide race and there is not an empty seat in the house?

I just hope NBC doesn,t screw up Versus. If you are old enough to remember TNN. That was a good channel, who ever bought them really messed that station up. But it is great news that it will be on. I am ready to go to Tulsa, being there for a week watchin the best of the best midget drivers.
