I think along with motor tech, there needs to be a safety check. In the 3 years I have been running with MMSA I have not seen one car checked for safety. Belts need to be checked, and a general safety check of the car as most of the cars were built to run on short tracks, 1/4mile or less (small front end, light wieght cars).
I am one of the few mini sprint racers who have ran eldora, and in my opinion this will be a race for the bottom of the track for the mini sprints. Biggest thing to remember that safety is very important and everyone will be a higher speeds so one thing goes wrong and we are going to have some people hurt. In my opinion as a racer who has ran a midget at both eldora and terre haute, is we need to keep mini sprints on the smaller tracks. I sure hope that Bill can put a purse together that would be worth racing for on the bigger tracks!!!

Keeping in mind I have never been to Eldora....what about it makes it so much faster and harder to drive than a track like Lawrenceburg or KC?

Lawrenceburg is a small 3/8 .... Eldora is a 1/2 mile....you don't lift at either one. If you stay on bottom it shouldn't be that bad but like Lawrenceburg there is no easy crash at Eldora. Time will tell how it turns out

If folks are worried about crashing perhaps they shouldn't race.

im super excited for this and we are going to do everything we can to make it over for this race. i hate how people complain about it being hard on motors. you dont have to have it pegged on the revlimiter to win. we all have multiple gears and different gearing we can use to make these motors last. oh btw im glad my car is running on alcohol as well.

I think the shift rule should be lifted for this race
