Haven't seen any talk on here about it but ORP has released their schedule for 2008. USAC will, of course, have the Night before the 500 midgets on May 24th. The Silver Crown division has been confirmed to double up with the midgets on Thursday of Kroger Speedfest, July 24th. And the midgets will make a third appearance on Friday, September 12th. No USAC sprints on the schedule.

Interesting that the sprints won't be there at ORP? Would be a neat triple show on the July 24th date. Long night but man that would be one heck of a show.

Not to highjack the thread, but also look at Anderson speedways usac opener in April. No longer a sprint car race but going back to a national midget event...

I thought I heard that ORP would be adding sprint cars to the schedule on one of those dates....? I think someone told me this, but that it was also talked about on a recent radio show.
I think the USAC folks know the importance of pavement races and are striving to add more both this year and for the years to come.
