$10,000 to win Late Models, I was working the backstretch for Northern Allstars, there was no cushion, one big black streak of rubber, and NO passing...burnt my hand trying to pull sheet metal off of the right rear of one of the cars. Went right through my glove, thats how hot the right rears were that day. Bob Pierce won by 3/4ths of a track.
Hopefully they have a solution ready for a day race. Looking forward to returning to THAT

I remember the Sunday afternoon Sprintcar races and I thought they were great.
They started around 2:00PM and were done around 4:00PM. I could leave Indy at noon and be home before six, what is wrong with this?
The track was in great shape and it stayed that way because they had no support series to wear it out. The pits were in the infield where you could see the teams work on their cars.
And to top that off, the grandstands were crammed packed. When was the last time you saw that?
Some times greed and being misguided have led the promoters down the primrose path to failure.

In my visits to Indiana I've been fortunate enough to see races at 15 different speedways, but one I haven't been to is Terre Haute. With the situation being what it was the last couple of years I was thinking I never would. I sure hope this is the year I'm able to cross the famous action track off my hit or 'bucket' list.
