I could live with something like this but get rid of the LCQ altogether, Five heats, Ten per heat, C, B A

Chuck, Those not cracking the top 40 start the tail of the heats

Umm Chuck, I made a good majority of the USAC heat races and features that we showed up for although I have spent quite a few nights on the trailer due to poor qualifying. Even when we qualified a lot in TQ's I never did have a good feel for it.

I do ask though that my name not be brought into threads please. Being that I am not driving any longer and have taken on the roll of pit lackey or bleacher bum I would prefer to not get brought into these topics unless it is under my own free will. If I were still racing and had more of an impact on these topics that could maybe be a different story.

Thanks and let the *issing match resume! :headbang: :angry-smiley-007:

Sorry Jake, I didn't mean it to a insult to you or anyone, Just a example of good racers that got a bad break that can move forward in the event that otherwise would be loaded up.

I completely understand Chuck and appreciate the good gesture. Just worries me to get even the littlest bit involved in these threads since everyone around here is so cut-throat happy. :icon_smile_blackeye

Nothing I say is meant to be cut throat. I'll still go in the same format or whatever they run. Won't drag you into anything again.

Just a desire to see some more and better racing that a regular show presents, If Im gonna travel, Expecially with the cost of everything going crazy. It's gotta be something special. USAC isn't the only choice, I can see these same top names at local events and MSCS, TNT as well. Just a desire to see the best possible events out there.

Chuck

What Spridge said with one thing added. Do not change the invert and the slowest 2 start on the tail. USAC shows the heats are always exciting, I think a lot of that is the invert. Also I would like to see the top 4 out of the B get there time back, and the next 2 don't.

The WoO format may actually make for better racing with non-wing cars since you'll have the fast racing the fast and the non-wing cars are unhooked enough to pass.

For those looking to run 6 or 7 heats for everyone eliminating the risk of someone having a bad qualifying lap and not making the show, you better also be in favor of provisionals because that's all this is: Provisionals to make the heats.
