Been watching the "progress" on the Weather Channel, that is really looking "NOT GOOD", I'm sure gonna send my prayers your way, as well as other areas of the country that are in deep DODO! Bob!

My heart goes out to those folks. Back in 1972 I was a teenager living in NY state and I saw the awful flooding that Hurricane Agnes brought to the same areas of NY and PA.

I know the Speedway track in Owego is under pretty bad, worse then in 06 when I ended up having to fix most of the walls cause the posts raised up a foot or so. I will say as bad at it is thank goodness we didnt seem to get hit with a huge batch of rain that was seemingly headed this way when they were calling for 14 inches. It hasnt been raining for quite awhile, the river will crest early tonight and is already over the 100 yr flood of 2006, so much for that formula. I do know by looking at the news by the height of the water on buildings near our cottage I would have to say our cottage might be completely under. I feel bad for other people. We have insurance and are only part owners.

Well wishes and Prayers to not just Binghamton but all of Appalachia who are suffering flooding from very slow moving tropical storm.
Also Texas and OK on their hard drought and burning lands.
Hang in there, Anything we can do, just ask.

Speedwrench, I have been wondering the same thing, one of my close friends was raised in Elmira and years ago his parents home flooded so bad the water was an inch within reaching the ceiling of the first floor. I haven't heard any mention of Elmira or Corning on the news during the past 24 hours.
