I am sure without a doubt many IOW readers have seen Mike Johnson race the #86 sprinter many times. And, many Pargon Speedway racing fans will be at the Mike Johnson Memorial Race this Saturday.
From my vintage photo collection:

Photo's taken at Oswego Speedway Classic for Supermodified's in 1965.
Have a good day...see you at the races

there were few people like Mike & Sue Johnson. When Mike ran Paragon Speedway he was the hardest working guy there. hot lapping his sprinter, then climbing a pole to fix a speaker or light, then qualifying, then fixing a problem at the ticket booth, etc. etc. Few guys could have ran a race car and a racetrack as well as he did all at the same time. 2 people we truly miss. i hope i can make it saturday night, not only for the great racing, but to honor the Johnsons. bob
