Bryant Heating and Cooling Indianapolis Speedrome®
Indianapolis, Indiana
July 27, 2011

The Bryant Heating and Cooling Indianapolis Speedrome® is proud to welcome back the USAC Mopar National Midget Series. Pure Power Technologies & UAW present the UAW 100 Mel Kenyon Classic to be held this Friday July 29th. For the first-time in over 6 years, the best and brightest open wheel stars from around the country will compete on the famous fifth-mile. Speedrome feature winner Dillon Welch and one of the most famous teams in open wheel, Nine Racing, are set for this major event.

17-year-old Dillon Welch is a rising star in motorsports. He began racing in .25 Midgets on the famed grounds of the Indianapolis Motor Speedway. He then rose through the ranks driving Kenyon Midgets under the guidance of “King of the Midgets” Mel Kenyon himself before piloting USAC D1 Midget cars for the legendary Bob East. And now young Dillon will finish the remainder of the 2011 USAC Mopar National Midget Series beginning this week behind the wheel of the Nine Racing iconic #9 midget. This machine has been driven to much success by familiar names Stan Fox, Tony Stewart, Kasey Kahne, Dave Darland, Jason Leffler, and JJ Yeley just for starters. The long overall list is amazing!

“For so long the #9 car has been the standard of greatness in USAC competition", Welch recently said. "With its history, it's an honor to have the chance to drive the #9 car”. This young gun racer is a student of the sport and has always dreamed of piloting the famous #9 car. "We are very pleased to have Dillon join our Nine Racing program", Steve Lewis said. "I have known Dillon since he was probably eight or nine years old and he has worked hard throughout his young career. Dillon has gathered an extensive amount of experience in a short period of time. He has won at all levels and has shown great promise so far during the 2011 USAC Mopar National Midget season.”

Dillon Welch is very familiar with the famous fifth-mile Speedrome racing surface. He picked up a pair of USAC D1 Midget feature wins here last year helping him take runner-up honors in the series championship. He had won title gold in 2009 in the sanctioning bodies final go around with the Kenyon Midgets. The son of national motorsports broadcaster dad Vince has been very fast in 2011. He captured pole position in the USAC Mopar National Midget Series most recent visit to the Milwaukee Mile.

Tickets are on sale now for this tremendous event. Adult general admission tickets are just $15 with children ages 6-11 just $6 while kids 5 & under are free. You can charge by phone at (317) 353-8206 or stop in the Speedrome pit office on the night of any racing event. This ticket price is the best price in the country to see these USAC Mopar National Midget series speedsters in action. We are very excited to have them here. The Speedrome has hosted nearly 500 USAC sanctioned events which is far and away more than any other track in the world.

Not trying to ruin your race dude but if you are going to pimp your race 3 or 4 times a day for a week on the board you probably need to buy an ad....just sayin

We are very proud about the Speedrome's relationship with USAC. We are also proud of hosting a National Race. It's ok to to be positive and promote the greatest stars of racing. Wease, East, Clauson, Hamilton, Welch, Hines, Hagen, Andretti, Marietta, Armstrong, and friends of the Speedrome such as the King of Midgets Mel Kenyon, Michael Lang, Rich Vogler, Tom Bigelow, Mack McClellan, Ted Hines, Warren Mockler, John Andretti, Brad Kuhn, well we could go on and on. Hope to see you Friday Night.
