my son races street stocks and I pray for Randy as I do before all of my sons races. Lord please keep him safe and if you deside it is your will to let him get injured please let him be well in your care
Great news Randy woke up feeling much better yesterday and today they are planning to release him from the hospital. Thank you for all your prayers. Everyone was wonderful from the safety crew who were on the accident scene within seconds of the accident to the doctors and neurologists at Community South. Randy is expected to make a full recovery and hopes to be back racing next year. Posted using Mobile Device
Thank the Lord for the wonderful news. Sometimes we forget how much the people in the support classes sacrifice to be able to race and give a us a show that we shamefully sometimes neglect. I've seen posts on here about it is a good time to go to the car for a beer.
I understand it is not as excitening as sprint cars but people put their heart and soul into these classes and also take risks and it tears my heart out when i look in the stands and see people leaving in droves.
I understand but thanks for letting me vent.
Randy has a follow up appointment Monday morning. They are expected to clear him to return to his normal activities, however, I believe he is going to wait until next year to start racing again. He has been at the track every week since they released him from the hospital. We had all the drivers sign a get well poster for him courtesy of PandG Photos.
