No doubt, this is probably the most lame thread that has been started on here in a while. A true rookie (season and 500...Montoya was technically a rookie when he won, but he was no Indy Car rookie) leading coming into the last turn. Pretty impressive to me. He ran in the top 10 a lot so it's not like he just lucked into it on fuel. He had good pace all day.
Nobody expects a car to be going that slow. A vet probably would have handled it better (rolls reversed, Wheldon probably would have won it with his experience), but a rookie means no experience with such a thing so you saw the result. The kid is good and is an American which is always the big complaint so get behind him I say. |
