Ok, if you say the race was stopped when it became unsafe, then a 12 lap "race" should have been enough to treat people fair and cancel it, and do what Gas City does, walk through the pits giving cash back to those who want it.
Dave, if you didn't talk to any of the drivers, I think you should have. A lot of them used a ton of tear offs the last five laps, and it wasn't good. There are the ones on the track, you should have ask them.

Don, I'm confused, we paid all the sanction fees, KISS Official Fees, as well as the points and awards fees....
Oh yea, and the full purse!
So please explain HOW Lawrenceburg Speedway could possibly benefit from this?
Might I remind everyone , this decision was not that soley of Lawrenceburg Speedway. All the KISS track promoters made this decision together.
I am appreciative that the purse is being paid, that is a good gesture. If they aren't going to reschedule the race, then it is take that, or get nothing and you will have essentially raced and traveled to and from the track for a night for nothing. To me, that seemed like the plan all along, to get halfway and call it a complete race, which is why we raced in the rain for a few laps (which I didn't agree with), but thats not the point. Rescheduling was going to be a problem, there were a lot of USAC teams there so someone was going to get shafted at some point, but maybe it could have gotten done. Pay it out like it was a completed feature and move on. My disagreement with KISS races not being rescheduled is another topic all together, because to me it seems like its an excuse to not pay a higher purse in place of a local show since the tracks all run every week anyway. All things considered, good move Dave, people should at least appreciate the fact that you are going to pay out.
If there wouldn't have been a caution for drivers spinning on the opening lap they would have easily made it to the half way point, just sayin and congrats to Dave for paying the purse, can't beleave some people are unhappy about getting paid
