As I was sitting here, I was thinking that this is the worst start to race season i can ever remeber. (ive only been in the sprint car world for 10 years) Which brings me to this question.

What is the worst begining of race seaon that you can remeber. Has there been more rain outs then there has been this year?

I've only been to one race... But to about 7 rain outs.

The last two years have attended around 17 or 18 races by mid-May. This year I have nine.
I really needed a good start to the season too. Just started a new job and unsure what races I'll get to see the rest of the season.

In contrast

1988, Was so dry we had grass fires at the end of Feb.
Ran every show at Florence, Actually cancelled two shows for being too dry.
Corn on the way to Eldora was only thigh high in August
Four crown, Stormed all over south of I-70 In fact you could see the lightning ect from Eldora, Never a drop at the track.

I was hoping this was as bad as it gets. This is our second year here from California and the only races that haven't rained out are the ones I can't go to.

I remember one year back in the late 70's early 80's when it rained almost every weekend . I think there was like 4 races I saw that yr. I wish it would move on by......it feels like winter still being in the house ALL the time....
