I was driving around today and found myself at the corner of 35th ave and Broadwar rd. I pulled into the dirt lot across the street and reclined my seat back. I could hear and picture in my mind all the great racers and races I have seen run there. After a little while I sat up and thought to myself was I haveing a dream then looked across the street an realized it was not a dream at all it was a NIGHTMARE..

Rest in piece ol girl looks like forever.

I haven't ventured south on 35th Ave. since that fateful Easter Sunday, when Manzy closed it's like it left a hole in my heart that can't be repaired. Can't bring myself to go by there!

Thankfully,I have had no reason to go to that part of town in the last two years. (Yes,it has been that long!) Should I need to go to that area,I'll go out of my way NOT to pass 35th and Broadway. The screen name says it all folks,I REALLY miss Manzy, now more than ever.

I can say I had the pleasure of standing on the wall going into turn one of the infield and watching them hauler into the turn. It was exciting as hell. Got to take my son and his girlfriend, so he was able to see some racing there before it's demise. We were able to go a few times because we were attending the Copper World event before they fouled that up also. Keith Hall let four of us in for free that nite as we called ahead and wanted to know if we could watch from the infield. Memories I will never forget.

It was never the same without that Keith Hall's prepping track work. He always wanted it in fine racing condition. He always came out and talked to us in turn three. The best half mile West of that big river for non wings sprints. Now all we have is what is written in racing books.

On the light side we have Calistoga on Labor Day weekend.
