Jack Berry Racing
Michael Pickens, the three-time New Zealand Midget Champion and dual winner of the Australian Speedcar Super Series, along with Australian team owner Jack Berry would like to officially announce their 2011 USA race campaign!
Scheduled to compete at 10 race meetings including the famed “Indy Midget Week”, a series hosted by five different race circuits in Indianapolis; preparations are well underway with two New Zealand built Breka Chassis and an Esslinger engine shipped to the States today from Jack’s Polarice workshop in Ipswich, Queensland.
The past 12 months have been one of the busiest periods in Pickens racing career competing in all three countries at the highest level, with a focal point being his 3rd place podium behind Kevin and Sammy Swindell at the 25th Chili Bowl held earlier this year in Oklahoma.

Pickens, 28, one of the world’s most successful speedway drivers having won or placed at major blue ribbon events in New Zealand, Australia and the United States (a feat not mastered by many), intends to further enhance his record breaking ways, this time on American soil!
In 2004, Michael became the first New Zealand driver to win a feature at USA’s Angell Park in its now 75 year history, and it’s only fitting that Michael will return to the Wisconsin based racetrack to make this campaigns debut.
