I'd just like to say hello as I'm a new member. I live in PA, sprintcar country cept they're all screwed up cause they got wings on em. I envy Indiana's nonwing racing. I grew up around great modified racing in the early 70's when the cars ran big blocks with injectors and were built in your garage. But, sprintcars, midgets and minisprints I still really love. I raced speedway motorcycles up to a couple years ago and I now have a older minisprint which sad to say I dont get to run much cause all the races here are winged and I just have no interest. I dont want to say I'm old but I was there when the first plywood wings started appearing, and I can remember Jan O, saying to me, dude I dont like these wing things lol. He used to like the fact that he could take a bent up nonwinged car drive the piss out of it and win. Hey, have fun out there. :2:,

Welcome aboard.I was wondering , did you ever run speedway bikes here in Ind?. I use to go 8 or so years ago when they ran them on the westside of town.

No never made it to Indiana, I raced Champion Speedway and Action Park both near binghamton NY. Won a few D2 mains and was riding D1 when a work accident broke my neck and back so I dont ride anymore. If you ride speedway you WILL be hurt, lol. Speedwaybikes and nonwinged cars are very much alike, both are about the purist of racing, you back both of them in real hard, ohhh thats what racin is all about ! thanks for the welcome guys.

We have plans already to come out, well no plans but were coming out. Right now I have 3 weeks to get the sprintcar done. Theres no nonwinged races here so I was quite surprised when the local track owner said I could run it nonwing at his 3 practice/bug days. I'm actually getting a little nervous cause I know lots of eyes will be on me, quite a few modified guys know me from my speedway stupidity. Add that to the fact I dont thing theres been a unwinged car at his track in decades. Thank god my bud is one of the best chassis bulders/setup guys around, the car isnt totally straight, but it aint totally bent either and I'm pretty sure it should slide to the left some.
