There is a 4 page post on Valley Fever on another message board that is currently running. DOnt know if it would imply here but the guys all went to the west coast racing and most came home with problems that were respiratory and basic infection like symptoms.

Willie dont let getting sick one year affect future years at the chilli bowl. When you are in a place with that many people it only takes one person to make a lot of people ill. The best thing you can do to prevent getting sick in the future is to make sure you wash your hands and use hand sanitizer frequently. At least use it once an hour. I once went to Las Vegas and came home with H1N1. Fortunately I was one of the lucky ones and didn't end up in the hospital...or worse. I have been back 3 times since with no problems. I just make sure I wash my hands often. Hope everyone feels better soon!

No ill effects for me except I'm missing it already, but don't want to wish the year away. I would leave tommorrow if they were running again.

speaking of the valley fever, i got sick the night before 3 days of usac at the Western World at Manzi. 3 perfect 80 degree days and i spent them all in a hotel room in bed until night when i dragged myself to the track. I was told i had maybe Valley Fever. it lasted 5 days. had to go back to the copper on dirt for a pay back i figured. I do miss Manzi though.
