Funeral services for Bob Barth, father of former sprint & midget car driver Steve Barth and racing mechanic Bobby Barth, will be today, November 23, from 4pm to 8pm at Owens Funeral Home in Alexandria, Indiana. Burial will be immediately following the services tomorrow at 1pm.
Bob passed away yesterday from a brief illness. He was a very active member and avid supporter of Steve's racing teams, and will be sadly missed by those who knew him and enjoyed his ever-present smile and friendly demeanor both at and away from the track.
Having been around some form or another of auto racing for more than half a century now, I have met lots of truly nice people. Bob Barth ranks right up there with the very best.

My thoughts and prayers are with the Barth family. Steve Barth is a true racer and great guy, always has time to talk racing with "strangers". Sorry for your loss.
