Heard Shane Hmiel took a wild ride and is in transit to the hospital. Prayers go out to him.

Just got an update from a friend at the track that Shane Hmiel has had a very BAD accident in qualifying........thats is all I know as of now.

Shane Hmeil bicycled going into turn three and hit the top of the cage square on the wall, collapsing the cage. He is in transit to the hospital. VERY hard hit, prayers go out to him and his family.

My brother just got to the track and called and said they are going to Lifeline him out, assuming to Indy. Just what I've heard.

Just confirmed that he was air-vacced to Indianapolis.
