WOW!!!! Sounded like a heck of a race... Swindell blew tire with 3 laps to go leading the race, Schatz's motor starts to go while in the lead... then Schafer for the win..

Tim Shaffer won the 50th Knoxville Nationals. Seems if you win a race like that you deserve to have your name spelled correctly!

Sammy Swindell led most the way and went out with 3 laps left.

As long as they spell it right on the check, I bet he won't care how it is spelled here.

Any other year Sammy would've finally gotten the monkey off his back and won another Nationals but 50 laps was just too much for his tire. Man, that really has to hurt. Tom

By far best wing race I've seen in forever, Sammy had em covered in the feature well for 47 of 50 laps he had em lol, hated to see his tire let go but that's racing. Congrats to shaffer he was quick all week and hell of a run for dollansky starting 24th and ending up 4th

Where did Shafer start?

One of the best races I have seen. YSammy and Brian Browns tires had less than 25laps on them when they blew. That added to the drama but should not have happens.
