Helio gets screwed with his pants on twice. Cleck out the link below.

http://motorsports.fanhouse.com/2010...nton-tirade%2F

At the bottom of the article are responses from readers all in favor of Helio and all against the IRL. Very interesting posts that I agree with.

I used to be a supporter of the IRL, going to many of their races in the late 90's & early 2000's, but lost interest years ago as its trademark side by side racing disappeared. Now it's become CART Jr with all those street circuts. Truly sad.

Thank GOD for real racing, Traditional Sprintcars & Midgets.

Let's not lose sight of the fact that Castroneves grabbed a security guard. He's lucky he didn't spend the night in jail for that little stunt.

Lets see, spend a night in jail for grabbing some guy by the shirt collar. If you condone jail time for that, what do you think they should have done to Foyt and all the real racers of past generations that settled things with their fists. Seems to me they worked things out themselve without lawyers. lawsuits and jail time. Of course that's when men were men, not little sissy girls like they are now.

Bottom line, people think the blocking rule sucks (which it does) and they think Helio got screwed over (which he did). Instead of Helio spending a night in jail for his outburst, the IRL should find a real race director. Then the problem would have never occurred in the first place.

The look on that bouncer's face when Helio grabbed his shirt was priceless. The smile on his face said, Helio, there is no way I can take you seriously.

Wasn't this the same bouncer who sidetracked Danica at Indy as she was walking down to pit stall of the guy she thought wrecked her 2 or 3 years ago?

I think it was.

Silver Crown Championship Dirt Cars properly driven on a one mile dirt track are classic poetry in motion. Using that analogy, Jack Hewitt is one of the greatest poets of all time.

I think the security guard needs a medal for one of racings highlights of the year. That was priceless. Cool guy. I think maby there is a friendship between the two that exists. That kind of racing is sure going backwards. Tony must be laughing.

That was IRL security chief Charles Burns. Remember him from the 500 a couple years ago when Danica was trying to get at Ryan Briscoe.

Charles is the IRL Director of Security. Not a security guard as some have indicated. When I saw the video of Helio grabbing Charles I thought that he was in big trouble.

But, when I saw the smile on Charles' face and the lack of reaction to being grabbed, I realized that Charles is very much a proffesional. He did not over react, he understood Helio's frustration and allowed him to vent. Besides based on their size difference I'm sure Charles wasn't concerned.

Charles has a tough job because he has to intervene in situations like this one and at the same time he is friends with the drivers and crews and very much in charge of their safety from outside "issues" while at the track. From the little I saw, Charles did an outstanding job.

As for Helio, I love the passion he has, but I guess it dosen't sit well with the IRL. Too bad......

I kind of thought that settling disputes without having to resort to violence more fit the defintion of an adult than a sissy. But we can agree to disagree.

No argument here, it's a terrible rule.

As bad as the rule is, Helio still broke it. Seems pretty open and shut to me.
