1820? Piker. I got back home with about 3,000 new miles on my ride. Well worth the effort. I would put up a top ten list of my own, but it is hard to figure just ten.

1. Jon Stanbrough and the boys doing it with no frills, just smart and hard work.
2. Blake Fitzpatrick winning his first USAC feature.
3. Huge crowds, or at least impressive crowds at every stop.
4. Brownstown for pulling it off, beating the rain and getting rewarded with quite a feature.
5. Brady Short taking the road less traveled to win at Brownstown.
6. The California guys for coming back to race here.
7. Meeting new and old friends, not unlike a family reunion of church on a holiday, when EVERYONE seems to show up.
8. Seven Hoosier promoters who know the true meaning of the word "promote." We are both blessed and a bit spoiled here.
9. Taking my grandson and his dad to Gas City, then hearing that the grandson wanted to go to Kokomo too, so off we went.
10. Surviving a trip to Haubstadt with Dave Foist.:2:

I'm sure that we all could come up with more than 10...weather, etc. Shucks, I could come up with a top ten for each track, starting with L'burg with its geographically challenged promoter. :2: And Pine, did you know that I'm even older than Mr. Hoover and Mr. Shaw? No, really.

I can't believe no one mentioned the beer belly contest @ L-burg.:2::2::2:

I can't think of ten but I thought the race @ B-Town was great. I know Brownstown isn't a hot bed of sprint car racing but I thought it was a great show. I'm not from that area and only been there a hand full of time to watch late models.

2.Seeing B. Fitz getting his first USAC win.
3.Hanging out with the Morgan's,Howell's,Steve Farris,Blake Memmer, and Coach Meece.
4.Adam Nigg wreck at Terre Haute. (Never seen anyone flip out of the ballpark.)
5.Playing corn hole.
6.Watching the best race of the year at Brownstown.
7.Hearing Chris Nunn give Kurt Gross the nickname "The Savage"
8.Beer Belly Contest at "The Burg" funniest thing I have ever seen at a race track.
9.Meeting many new people.
10. Seeing sprint cars go 5 wide at Kokomo.
