is there anything worse than losing history? the fact that T.H.A.T. was being thrown under the bus made me sick and to know that someone was in charge of it that had no interest in running it for the drivers and race fans was so heartbreaking to me. i can only hope now that someone comes to one of the great race tracks of all times rescue and we all get to enjoy eating dirt at Terre Haute again. lets not become like california and sit around watching all of our great race tracks close one by one.

I too look forward to seeing some great racing in 08 at the Action Track. Bob will do a good job as far as running an organized show and having the track prepared right. My only issue with Bob is that I don't think he has as much energy to really promote like he should anymore. Here in Springfield, there is never any mention of the Bettenhausen coming up. Not a commercial, not a flyer, not a press release to the local media( who are terrible at covering motor sports). I think he knows the same 5000 fans will be there and is not interested in anyone else. When the motorcycles race there twice a year, there are posters in every bar in town, commercials on TV, and it shows because the place is packed. Most of us on this board are going to the races anyway, but some promoting needs to be done to reach the casual fan. Heres to hoping I'm wrong.

The plane was from Concord and was definately there. Looks like it was only on the ground for a couple of hours, thats plenty of time to write a check though...
