How miserable would you have been if you watched that poor kid get lit on fire because of the fuel leaking from Gordon's car? Maybe that would have satisfied your bloodlust? Didn't see enough accidents I guess.

Gordon's car wasn't just LEAKING fuel, it was nearly free flowing from the tank. When the car behind has to run a different line just to miss the fuel, he needs to be black flagged!

How typical You guys pay your respects to Jesse and then turn around and disrespect another kid, who could very well have been an instant from his death. THANK GOD he wasn't burned or injured as it was but you don't care because it was a fan favorite leaking the fuel. SHAMEFUL. If you want to take my place, I'll add up the receipts from running the car this weekend and send you the bill and see if you want to "take my place next year". Gonna be hard to use the welfare check and put the beer down long enough!
Well some of us HAVE plunked down alot of money on race cars so you should watch that comment. And as far a kid or anyone catching fire the flash point on that type of fuel is so high he'd have to already BE on fire and burning at a VERY high temp and if the kid was that soaked did they LEAVE???? bet they stayed. You just want to complain like always. If you don't like it then DON'T COME BACK. The stands were almost full and will be next year and the year after, you won't be missed...... and if your kids was that soaked did you LEAVE???? bet you stayed. And if you're running a car there then why are you sitting in the STANDS????????? Seriously stick to USAC races and leave the events we love alone. I'd be willing to bet you made this all up anyways since Eric's car blew a little fuel out the vent onto the track for a lap or 2 and so did many others and I doubt very much any made it into the stands with no wind blowing during the race. Just another of your rants........

Yep we all just made it up. Me and the 50 other people who tried to yell at the track official and eh just shrugged his shoulders. Maybe that was you!

Ok, I will start with congraulating Eric Gordon. No mistakes in 500 laps It was a great race as always and I will be back next year and the year after. As a matter of fact, I will be back till the bleachers fall down so maybe just next year lol. I don't know why you guys are arguing with USACfan, we all know usac is always right but my question is, am I the only one who thinks Wilson got hosed? Gets spun in front of six push trucks and they push off a car that is multiple laps down and he sets there for what I believe was four laps and the other trucks just sat there. I bet if that car was black that wouldn't have happened, just my opinion

USACfan...

You say you will add up the cost of running the car...

Are a car owner(which I find hard to believe, because not many car owners are a USAC fan.)?

I have grown up around racing as have many here, things go unseen at times. Such is life. Put on your big boy pants and stop whining.

If you are not an Eric Gordon fan fine, but don't sit back and say what should have happend because you did not like the out come of the race.

Welfare? Really? I understand this is an internet forum and you hide behind a screen name but this is a fourm of your peers that you could see on any given weekend.

So who are you and where did you/your driver finish?

I'm Rick Baker Jr.

Hay why don't you just go back to your 15 car show and leave us real race fans alone! Hell you probablly thought it was unfair the 77 had a starter on the car and could take 2 cans of fuel at once.

Late comments on the race. First starting with the field of cars... VERY good looking field. Did not look like any of the cars had been had just been pulled out of the barn. BIG STEP UP! Quality field. Probablly the best field of cars I have ever seen in 18 years. Along with this came crews taking the race much more seriouse. It looked as if most of the teams were prepaird to make pit stops. That is not always the case. The racing... Very pleased with the action. Lot of give and take this year, that made the entire race fun to watch. Track Crew.... Still very gun shy over the incident from a few years ago. I think it is time to get 2 or 3 4wheelers or utv's to move cars around. I can not stand it when a guy has to stop to avoid a crash, and he gets penalized 5-8 laps. one guy can not push a sprint car around. lets get that guy on a 4wheeler. . Moving on I want to thank the drivers for not following that follow the leader Usac mold. Levi on lap 11 jumping on the high side and passing cars like crazy. Everyone was willing to race. The end... how great would the ending had been if they were both on the lead lap. Lets face it, Eric let shane go. Man that would have been a heck of a finish. Hats of to the Contos team, they were not a front row team. Jacob Wilson WILL WIN THIS RACE SOON! That team is strong, and they know how to run these long races. Levi, heck of a job. Most USac teams wreck in the first hundred because they are not used to passing cars every single lap. You were a threat. Chet Fillip, man you amaze me. The car might be ugly, but I can not wait to see it again. What new tricks will you come back with??? A year is to long to wait. Eric Gordon, I tip my hat to you. You put on a heck of a show. Fun to watch you move to the front. I know you have earned all 9 victories, but this one really stands out to me. Great job. Thanks you one more time to the drivers for putting on one of the best little 500's I have seen.

I agree with all but this "Lets face it, Eric let shane go".. I highly doubt that, being that put him back on the lead lap with 57 laps togo.. 1 caution flag ruins that whole theory.. and even after the fact, shane walked away.. how ever, like you said.. 1 of the best little 5's yet..

Didn't he pass him with like under 25 to go? If the caution would have flown, all the lap cars would be between. You are right though, I made it sound way to easy. Eric did not just pull over like they do in Nascar. He ran hard and tried to keep him behind him. When Shane got position, or next to him, he let him go. If that was a battle for the lead, I garuntee you we would have seen tire smoke and maybe a car in the grass. I think the same would be true if Cottle was leading and eric was running 2nd. Both of these drivers have a deep respect for this race. I really think both would have had the checkers or wreckers mentality in the final 5 laps, and that would have been exciting! The real question is, if the caution flew with 10 to go, and they did put 1st and 2nd nose to tail, does Cottle get around Gordon? I bet it would have been wild
