Trivia question for tonight, Which driver won their first USAC victory at the Burg. The answer they were looking for was Gardner which is true. I answered Bland jr. It was Ironic because I was talking with Mom Bland a week or two prior at Twin Cities and they said they were in wait and see mode on the New Burg. He shows up, Wins race! Why it was fresh in my mind.

BLAND UPSETS “INDIANA SPRINT WEEK” FIELD IN LAWRENCEBURG OPENER

Lawrenceburg, IN…….Jeff Bland Jr. of Springville, Ind. led the first seven and the last six laps to score an upset victory in Wednesday night’s 30-lap Chevy Powers “Indiana Sprint Week” feature at the Lawrenceburg Speedway. The win was his first ever in USAC National Sprint Car competition. He started on the pole but was running second to Robert Ballou on lap 25 when Jon Stanbrough blew a tire on the backstretch. During the yellow Ballou’s car developed a flat tire and he had to restart at the back of the field, putting Bland and his Servia Drywall/Servpro DRC/Chevy into the lead. He was trailed to the checkered flag by Levi Jones, Damion Gardner, Shane Cottle and Dave Darland. Chevy Powers “Indiana Sprint Week” continues Thursday night with the “Robbie Stanley Classic” at Lawrenceburg.

See you in two weeks

If I were you Chuck, I would have a word with that Bozo that runs the place. Better luck next time.

We weren't wrong and I bet there is several more correct answers to that question

Another question that confused me was who had the most wins at the burg? I had the driver right but was if for this year only, All time? New configuration? (Which it was) Short with five, Now six.

I usually send a kid up that's around me if I know the answer but I was certain on Bland and didn't think many others would know it.

Its all in fun and Im taking it that way

Chuck,

I am keeping track of all of the wins/results since the track was changed into a 3/8 mile. I don't have all of the results from the beginning of Lawrenceburg Speedway so the trivia questions of the most sprints wins, driver with the most wins, etc. are all since the new configuration.

I didn't even hear anyone ask the question about the first USAC win at the Burg so I don't know how they came up with Gardner as the answer.

No worries Sandy, Maybe just phrase the questions on the new 3/8ths

Damion in fact announced in victory lane that last falls LBurg Nationals USAC win was his first. Most couldn't believe it but it was true for a National event. I think he has several USAC/CRA.
