Spoke with Spiker late last night and he is meeting with USAC this morning and they will create a plan of action for todays event.....The second my phone rings, I will update this post to let everyone know which way things are gonna go.....Looks like the bulk of the rain has went through and the track prep crew are taking a look at the grounds to see how saturated it is....Spiker is committed to doing all he can to make sure the return of USAC to LPS is successful....Oh by the way, lets see if any of you notice a very needed improvement this week that Spiker made....
Just watched the weather on Channel 13 and they said we'll catch a break in the rain during the day, sun may even come out this afternoon, but unfortunately that may help fire up more tstorms that are forecasted for this afternoon / evening.
It's gotta be tough as a promoter knowing the weather is OK for now, but may not be later. I'll be keeping my fingers & toes crossed that we get this one in safely.
