This year the series averaged in the 30's this year on the dirt
Around 15 on the pavement
Wasn't there some talk about bringing back the old pavement cars for the smaller pavement tracks and then keeping the new pavement cars for the larger tracks?
Any truth or news to this?

I can see two reasons this won't happen:
1. By doing this USAC would have to admit it screwed up with the new cars
2. By doing this, it would be something smart that USAC would have done and can anyone name another instance where USAC made a good call?

I'd say just stick with the dirt and run two shows at Indy, Springfield, Duquoin and maybe Terre Haute(if it still exsists). Right there is eight races without mentioning Eldora or the West coast. Call it the "National Dirt Car Championship". If I was younger and had the resourses, I'd try it!!

Both USAC AND PRA are headed in the wrong direction with the pavement cars. The best result for both would be for USAC to bring back the old (real) pavement cars and to hire both the Jason's.

I don't care what you call them, just bring them back to Terre Haute!

My vote is for putting the cars on the half-miles especially dirt and let them go at it for a 100 laps that is when they put on the best show.
