Ive heard about 19 different rumors about a new promoter at Vermilion County Speedway...
If anything changes, I hope they keep with the promise of Non Winged shows

Not that I am a be all end all answer, but Bill Nelson has already sent in their registration for the Hoosier Racers Swap Meet & Trade Show 8! Also F.Y.I.: It's entered/listed as Vermilion County Speedway, and it arrived just a couple weeks ago.
P.S.: Thanks Bill!!!

I sure hope not I enjoyed racing there at the funfest thing they had and got a chance to talk to Bill as he was making his last rounds at like 2 in the morning or so and he had big plans in store for next year. Maybe him or his wife will be on here soon to clear something up..
To let everyone know what is going on. Our contract was up this year and I sent a new proposal to the fairboard for next year and a decission should be made in the next few weeks. There is another party interested in running the track next year if the fairboard decides not to have us back. But as of right know we are still the promoters at VCS. As soon as the fairboard votes on next year I will let everyone know. I hope this clears up some of the rumors. If you have any questions dont hesitate to give me a call and I will try to answer them. 217-202-5918

the following was taken from The Commercial News in Danville
"Also Monday night, alcohol will be available at the Vermilion County Speedway under a decision approved by a county board committee Monday night. Committee members voted unanimously give the local raceway a Class F liquor license.
The license is a welcome sight for Phil Richardson, who runs the speedway.
