Went to the 500 40 times. Haven't been in 10 years! This WOULD bring me back. Let A.J. Watson design the NEW CARS????

Also the last Watson roadster to win a USAC sprint feature. Ask Duke, he was in the seat. I spent a lot of time wrenching on the Ole B@tch.

An interesting bit of trivia

Ebb Rose missed the show in this car in 63.

So what happens to Ebb? He gets a ride as a teammate to....

AJ Foyt! Makes the show in a 1963 Watson Roadster.

What's so special about that roadster, you ask? Won the 500 the next year with SuperTex behind the wheel as part of his 10 wins in 13 starts super season, and ended up in the Speedway Museum.

Correct that Eb Rose did not make the 500 in this car in '63. Johnny Rutherford put it in the race in '64 with Bardahl sponsorship and Bobby Grim failed in '65 but did make the show in '66 with this`same car and yes.......the last Watson Roadster to ever see the flag drop at Indy. More detail in the Web site "History" section with more historical photos posted in near future.
