Midwest Connection-Larry "Buckwheat" Gates is living on the NW side of Evansville, IN. As of the Holidays, he was in relatively good health.

I am not sure what part you are playing in this Duke but THANKS, this could be the sprint car highlight for a few of us old timers for the whole year!!
How about a few more from out west
The Rim Rider Chuck Gurney
The Dragon From Galt Leroy Vanconnet
Johnny Anderson
Gary Ponzini
How about that guy who only ran 5 sprint car races out west won 2 at
Ascot, Got 2nd in another and dropped out with car problems the other 2 races.
Great deal going on here and could be the be all end all for most of these guys.
Come on lets try for a few laps for them. Start this thing early on that morning??? It could be done.
No Question where I will be on that day.

You got that right, But it would still be a great way for some of these other great drivers to have at least one more day in the lime light?
Just saying it sure would be a neat deal for them also.
To turn this into a nation wide deal would certainly be a good thing, after all the days for these drivers just get shorter every year. Being centraly located and all it just might be the right place for something like this? Maybe next year?
What a promotors dream event it could be
Hey Tony Stewart are you listening ?
