But, if ever a race needed a "star power" entry it's this one. Since the races are being run in the middle of the week and there's no stock cars running with them, and there's been no regional promotion that I can see (look at Hickory's web page, no mention of this event and it's less than a week away), this event needs someone like Stewart, Newman, or Kahne to enter. Kasey is running with WoO this weekend at Bulls Gap. Otherwise, I think the crowd count will be dismal.

As an open wheel fan, I'm excited by the current entry list, but that's because I'm a USAC fan. To those who know little if nothing about our brand of racing, what's the draw?

Anyway, hoping for the best. Should be some great racing. If last fall's Focus race was any indication, it should be great. There was a lot of passing and side/side action in that event.

I'd really like to see this become an annual event. Not a one and done.

I promoted two midgets races there great track for midgets! The fans loved them but you have to work hard promoting and most don't know how to do it! I had ken schrader on tv in charlotte and radio & newspappers in a 100 mile radius of hickory! Plus i had stock cars!

We are currently running TV commercials in both the Charlotte and Hickory markets. The commercials started running this week and will continue through next week.

I had 2878 paid in the stands! And 482 in the pits!
