Most everyone I talked to wondered the same thing. A couple hours later (when leaving Village inn on the way home) I asked one more guy, and he was quick to point out that he was in the tower for it, and came to their defense. According to him the 2 car of T-Mez was just about stopped, so they threw a quick yellow. But then 2 started moving again, so the yellow was basically a mistake. They penalized the 2 car by sending him to the rear anyway, since he was what caused the yellow.

Sure looked like one of those nascar cautions to me:2:

There was a car that got into the turn 2 wall. It happen in front of us and I thought the car was going to flip but he managed to gather it up and keep going. If I was the flag man I would have thrown the flag also just because it really looked like this car was going to be stopping on the track.

Q.

it is my understanding that race control calls where being done by tommie estes,if this is true then the conspiracy theory of a nascar yellow for debris is out of the question.
tommie in all my dealings has never been anything but straight up and forward,he is a former racer and would not think of such a thing let alone do it.
