Driver Bio: Travis Young
Travis Is located out of Franklin, IN. Travis began racing in open wheel competition when he was just nine years old. He started his racing career in Quarter Midgets, and has since drove in the Legend series, Kenyon Midget Series, the Midwest Ford Focus series, as well as the USAC Regional Midget Series. He returned as a threat in the Ford Focus and Regional Midgets, placing in the top 10 in three different USAC divisions. Travis finished the 2004 season with a USAC regional Midget Feature win and finished 2nd in point standings. In 2005 he won two USAC Regional Midget Features and finished 5th in the point standings. In 2006 he finished second in point standings in the USAC Regional Midget Series. Last season he won two USAC regional features and finished 3rd in point standings. He also competed in one USAC National Midget Series race, where he qualified 2nd and finished 6th in the main event. In 2008 Travis managed to become the 2008 USAC Regional Midget Series Champion! In 2009 Travis won the Mayors Challenge go-kart race on the streets of Franklin, IN. Not able to compete competitively in 2009 just ran a few times to stay sharp. Travis' midget is a beast with esslinger power.

so he took two years off from racing to finish high school??? is it just me or is there a lot of time that can be used racing between the end of school and the start of the next year??? i know a lot of kids who use the summers off from pre-school and junior high to race during the summers..........
