Haubstadt, IN - Dec. 20, 2009. Tri-State Speedway will be releasing the track’s complete schedule for the 2010 racing season soon. The process of planning for a balanced and exciting schedule is underway.

The opening event for 2010 will be April 24th featuring the World of Outlaws Sprints. The track will then host the USAC Midgets for the Hut 100 in May. The Midwest Sprint Car Series will bolster the schedule with six to eight appearances. The third annual Haubstadt Hustler Sprint 50 has been set for Sept. 18th.

I know the Hut 100 has been ran at other tracks, but it isn't the Hut Hundred unless it is at THAT. Even before I was a race fan, when I heard Hut 100. I immediately thought of the Action track.

I saw two Hut 100s and neither one of them were at THAT. I saw the 1987 one at the Indiana State Fairgrounds with the Hoosier Hundred in a double header. Two years later I saw one at Lawrenceburg where Rich Vogler beat Johnny Parsons at the finish. It took me two days to thaw out. I bought a Hut Hundred '89 shirt with all this rubbery stuff resembling dirt at the botom of the image of a midget. The rubber stuff evenually wore off to reveal...Lincoln Park Speedway.

I've witnessed quite a few Hut Hundreds over the years, some from the grandstands and some from the pits. I know "purists" think the event has to be at Terre Haute or "it just ain't..........".
Well, I would much rather see a 100 lap midget race at Haubstadt than at THAT, so I don't care what it gets named. One of the best 100 lappers for midgets on dirt that I ever saw was at Little Belleville back in the late '70s or early '80s, a Sunday afternoon event IIRC.

A Haubstadt 100 sounds awesome! I assume it's the race scheduled for Sat. May 8th?

It won't be the Hut 100 if 33 cars do not start.

If that is the case, good thing they pulled the plug last year. They wouldn't have had 33 cars on the grounds.

Be nice to people on the way up. You might need them on the way down. Jimmy Durante

I once saw a 32-car field at Terre Haute, and 2009's lineup would have looked worse.

Has anybody seen a payout for this race?
