Here is a picture from the 2009 Johnson Memorial program at Paragon. The cars have really changed. I actually drove this car in 1971 and it ran on gas with a 3 deuces intake manifold.

This was Johnny's second modified and he later changed the back of the car that is seen in the previous picture posted here.

This was Johnnys first kit car that he built in the 1960's and ran into the 1970's. Mike Johnson drove it to a feature win at Lawrenceburg. This was a CAE chassis with a buick powered engine. I drove it one time 39 years ago.

Here is a picture of Johnny in his second super modified after he redone and removed the rounded back surronding the cage.

Here is a picture of the Todd built sprinter that Johnny ran for several years and he still has it. The car had parallel torsion on the front and cross torsion on the back. Also, it only had manual steering.

I remenber this car as a child and Dad ran it at the Mitchell track. The car number 194 was also the phone number at Johnson's Standard Station.
