Ricky Jr. hits the wing and then runs over to help Ricky SR. who is being punched on the ground.

that is just another typical sammy racing deal and this is another reason why he is not very well liked in racing

that was a racing deal for sure! you watch any race during the year and you can realize that! You guys are just a bunch of swindell haters...Looks like little Ricky needs a attitude adjustment to me...

That was a textbook slidejob! Nowhere has it ever been said that if you make the guy getting slid lift that it's a dirty move. While I don't like to make it a habit of sliding people and have it end up quite that close, I'll do it in a heartbeat if necessary. And I don't ***** when it happens to me. Just do like Stenhouse did- lift and/or jab the brakes and turn back under him. It was a perfect move/countermove in my opinion. I'm just talking about the turn 3 & 4 part. And on the frontstretch, Sammy did nothing wrong in my opinion-he did come down a little to squeeze Stenhouse some (to block a slider), but didn't appear to be intended to take him out. ***** happens, move on to the next race.

Seems ironic that most of the drivers on here thought it was ok, but non-drivers didn't. Just an observation.

Personally, I don't think it was a bad move, but poorly executed. Stenhouse was far enough beside him, plus it looked a little sudden, or jerky. There's no way Ricky has enough time to move. The slide job isn't the issue, since Sammy gave Ricky plenty of room.

Ricky was mad and that's to be expected. Should he have punched Sammy's wing as he drove by? No. However, good ol' Sammy running his mouth in the Victory Lane interview was uncalled for. If he wants to tell Ricky what he thinks, do it to his face. That's pretty much what caused the whole mess.

These type of things don't just "find" the Swindell's, you know...

stenhouse was crowding swindell up at the wall.
1) did he think that swindell was gonna roll over for him...highly unlikely
2) where did he think swindell was gonna go....he couldnt turn right
3) if nothing broke on stenhouse's car, we wouldnt be having this discussion.

sammy's slide job in 3 & 4 was clean and stenhouse made a good counter move on the slider. to me it looks like sammy knew stenhouse had a run on him getting into 1 so he just decided the only way he could beat him getting in was to turn down on stenhouse.

I am a driver, and don't appreciate moves like that. I wouldn't have felt bad for Sammy at all if Ricky would have stayed wide-open and ran over top of him. Probably was a racing deal what happened on the front stretch, but by Sammy's track record, it makes me think not.

So what is Swindell's track record? Winning a 100 times more more races than you could ever dream of winning.
