TripleXXX, I'm not complaining a bit. I just stated a couple of facts:
1. it's going to be slightly more expensive to race on a bigger track
2. if the track is prepared on the heavy side, it's going to be more dangerous.
where do you see a complaint? I'm on "wait and see" mode. We'll be there every race we possibly can next year. L'Burg is our track. As for Kimb? If you reread any posts on that topic, you'll find that my problem (and many others) was with the volume when Kimb was on the Mic. I never criticized her ability or, the job she was doing. Also, I refuse to believe that she was let go due to a post on IOW. I think Dave and his team have done a great job and I can't wait to get started in 2008.

I got a feeling Kimb had some offers and took one.
Dave was nice enough to release her to do IRP shows and such.
Cecil sometimes goes on a rant but who don't? I see good honest discussion here.
Heavy? PLEASE LET IT BE HEAVY, Florence was AWESOME heavy (Something I've rarely seen)

I think it is a neat deal to make the track larger. With Haubstadt, Gas City, Bloomington and The 'Burg we have a glut of 1/4 mile tracks.
Twin Cities and THAT(when it is operating) put on some pretty good Sprintcar shows.
I think another larger track will give the fans and drivers more variety and make for better racing over all.

WoW Cecil, What did you do to Triplexxx. :angry-smiley-007: The change in the track is just something we will have to give time to make a judgement on. The 1/4 burg seemed to not have a front straight for the past several years, on the 3/8 we will at least see some straights and like an earlier post said some good slide jobs. Am 47 years old and have been going to the Burg for as long as I can remember, it will really be a different look. But we can only hope for something that will be better in the long run. I think we should just feel fortunate (sp) that we still have a track. :applaud: I'm sure the people of Greendale would blow the place up if they had the chance.
